Playing Cheap and Free Online Golfing Game

Recently I played a cheap and free online golfing game. It wasn't hard to find with any of the search engines and it wasn't even worth the effort. The problem is that a game as complex as golf you would really have to add 3-d effects to the environment to make it a really nice game. I guess wishing for a golden tee knock-off is too much to ask for when looking for something free. Why don't they just add sponsorship to a tee and pay for the work the same way real greens do?
