A lot of golfers feel that since Tiger Woods became a world icon for the game of golf African Americans have began to pick the game up more. However, African Americans have been playing the sport throughout its history. To make this more prominent there needs to be more African American golfing groups that promote the sport of golf. If there were such social groups I feel the rest of America would stop thinking of the sport as a dominantly white game. Additionally it would allow all golfers to get out and meet more people with their own interests.

Some golfers end up buying their golfing supplies from a golf course's pro-shop; one of the more expensive places you can buy your supplies from. I think one of the better stores to shop at is Golfsmith; besides a sports store like Dick's. Golfsmith has sales sometimes that create a steal of a deal. They like to clearance out their old models and get rid of old equipment with deep discounts. Plus if you need something repaired like a club that needs a new grip they can do all the hard work that regular pro-shop won't do.

Golfing Holiday Como Lake in Italy

Como Lake is located in Lombardy, Italy. It is known as a glacier lake and is the third biggest lake in Italy. It is also known as one of the deepest lakes in all of Europe; 1320 feet deep and 656 below sea level. An acquaintance of mine recently took a trip to Como Lake before telling me all about it. It is lined with all sorts of fancy Italian villas and the smell of money is almost as thick as the pollution in the lake; which is so polluted you risk your health bathing in it. There are a handful of golf courses near the lake; Cassina Rizzardi being a 36-hole near by. The closest is Menaggio; a par 70.
