The Need for African American Golfing Groups

A lot of golfers feel that since Tiger Woods became a world icon for the game of golf African Americans have began to pick the game up more. However, African Americans have been playing the sport throughout its history. To make this more prominent there needs to be more African American golfing groups that promote the sport of golf. If there were such social groups I feel the rest of America would stop thinking of the sport as a dominantly white game. Additionally it would allow all golfers to get out and meet more people with their own interests.
