Who was the First Golfing President?

who was the first golfing presidentWanting to know everything about golf and history, I've had a few ask me 'who was the first golfing president?' The answer: William Howard Taft. He was our 27th President of the United States of America taking office in 1909. He was also the first to throw out an opening pitch at a baseball game even though he has been the biggest president since; about 300 pounds. Gerald Ford always practiced his chips on the south yard of The White House but was made fun of a lot by Bob Hope. One of the best golfers since was John F. Kennedy although he wanted his hobby to be private so the public wouldn't think he was putting his way through office.
